Well Scott is coming down tomorrow around lunch to spend a few days in Shelby and I must say, I’m quite excited. It’s been probably 5 or 6 months since I was in Mount Airy visiting him. Good news is that he is doing some job hunting while he is down here. If he has luck, he wants to move back to Shelby. w00t!
Bonnie and I went over to Brandon and Meagan’s house on Friday night and watched se7en. Wow, what an awesome movie. I can’t believe I never saw that when it originally came out. Thanks for making me watch that one. Also got a belated and worth waiting for Christmas present, two pieces of M’s artwork. Quite amazing work! Thanks so much.
Congrats to the Panthers for what was an AMAZING game last night. By far the most bizarre and interesting football game I’ve ever watched. Too bad though for my Titans. I did feel like they officials missed a pass interfence call on McNair’s last toss, but oh well. Now they have two extra weeks in the offseason and can start getting better for next year.
Well the Heels are about to start their game in about a half hour and I need to get my laundry folded. Hope everyone has a fantastic week!
I don’t know how much more of this I can handle. The Heels/Wake Forest game just finished the FIRST overtime. The second one is about to start. Tied at 104 right now. More later on when I can breathe normally again!
UPDATE: Woweeee! What a game. Normally, I’d be highly pissed to see Carolina lose a game, especially when they were previously undefeated. But I honestly can’t say I’m the least bit upset now. Yeah, I wish they would’ve won, but those guys played their hearts out (not to mention their bodies). So congrats to Skip Prosser and Wake Forest for playing an excellent game. Three overtimes is crazy. Not to mention the fact that the second one only netted FOUR total points for both teams combined, and all of those being scored in the final two minutes of the five minute overtime. Just a crazy game…. Time to get prepared for the next one!
What about those TarHeels?! Another one down, w00t! I’m still a bit concerned with the depth of our bench. That weakness will really start to show once we get into the conference schedule and go up against the likes of Wake Forest and Maryland. If Sean May can shutdown big, ugly, goofy dude, those Darn Devils won’t even be an issue. I can’t wait for the ACC to get heated up!
So yeah, I don’t wanna jinx anything for sure, but my boys are off to a ROCKIN’ season so far. They beat Illinois tonight by seven points and the game was fantastic. There is such a visible difference in overall team play from last season already. Roy must’ve come in with a nice conditioning program too, as Sean May and a few others have shed a few pounds and muscled up a bit. So anyway, I’m definitely a proud TarHeel tonight. I’ve been disappointed for a couple of seasons now, but I think the Carolina basketball program is finally coming back to it’s classic self: one of skill, discipline, and class.
