According to DailyTech, my home-state is trying to sweet talk Google into selecting us for their next data-center. The proposed site is in nearby Caldwell County in the city of Lenoir, just over an hour drive from my home here in Shelby.
I really don’t have much interest in working for Google, as I’m quite happy with my current employer, but it would be extremely cool to have some of the tech-industry start migrating towards the western part of our state instead of stopping in the Greensboro area.
