There’s an article at Scout.com this morning previewing the Duke @ Carolina game which is tonight at 9:00PM EST. They hit the nail on the head with this summary:
Duke and North Carolina meet tonight in the Dean E. Smith Center in what should prove to be a better game than almost anyone expected before the season began.
Everyone except me, that is. Without fail, the UNC vs. Duke matchup is always a tough contest, no matter the experience of each squad. This is another gem:
The Tar Heels are the only ACC opponent with a winning record against Duke all-time. North Carolina currently holds a 124-95 record against the Blue Devils, including a 12-8 mark in the Dean E. Smith Center.
Needless to say, I’m really looking forward to tonight’s game – just like every season.
You and I had this conversation last year. It was a great game–one for the recordbooks. Duke was up by one or two, a few seconds left, UNC had the ball, they marched down court, behind the three point line, and, then, stepped out of bounds.
What?
I remember telling you, “I just wish he would have shot it. So what if you’re heavily covered. There’s no time left! You have to TRY.”
Then last night. Same thing.
One for the recordbooks, down by three, time running out, UNC with the ball, time really running out (4 seconds left), behind the 3-point line, then, what do we do, drive to the basket for a two point try?
What?
That’s two years in a row UNC has done STUPID, STUPID crap at the end of the game. I guess you really do need a higher SAT score to go to Duke.
