UPS is a mess for international shipping. Apparently, “overnight” actually means “a week” or close to it. The package wasn’t actually picked up from Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong until the 30th though, so maybe I’m being to rough on them. Anyhow, the order status server at Lenovo was down so I sent a message over to my rep to get the actual UPS tracking number and received this reply:

Yes the server is down, but the UPS tracking number is 1Z127V18D302321995.
I can tell you that based on the current status, you could have it by Friday. Monday looks probable otherwise, unless orders are held up in customs.
Customs. That’d be just my luck. Maybe I’ll have it by this time next week.
You’re lucky. You actually have Lenovo reply to your e-mails. I e-mailed them on the 31st about their site being down, no reply. I’ve also e-mailed them about their lack of providing the correct invoices for the Thinkpad X40 I ordered, and no reply. And calling them, they seem to have no clue. The laptop has been sitting in Louisville, Kentucky since Friday, waiting for Lenovo to submit the proper paperwork. I’m giving them till the end of this week to sort everything out, then time to pursue more aggressive actions.
