Thankfully, Matt Mullenweg of WordPress fame has rediscovered the extension for Firefox that synchronizes your bookmarks on start/exit. I used to use Bookmarks Synchronizer a while back, probably when it was first released, and it was pretty decent. Somehow though, likely during my transition to Linux, I lost track that I was using it and have since then forgot all about it. But thanks to Matt, now I can keep my laptop, the Winbl0wz box at home, and my workstation at ESI all in sync. Of course now it means I’m going to have to really get my bookmarks organized so that the same ones CAN be used on all three machines.
Now if only I had a similar tool to sync my Thunderbird Address Book. Now THAT would be uber-sweet.
