In going through some OLD web site code today for my company’s corporate site (old as in pre HTML 4I think), I found this as a form field:
<input name=”zip” size=”8″>
What a retarded size for a United States Postal Service Zip Code in a form field. Five obviously makes the most sense, but I wouldn’t have thought anything of it if it had been 9 or 10 to use the Zip+4 format with or without the dash.
Eight… what an amateur.
