I just picked up a link from Matt over at av8ur.com. He got this story from NPR today about some artsy-fartsy group that made some election posters. These were my two favorite:
So, take the hint folks. I know it’s too late to register, but if you are registered, I beg of you: vote. And do your research for Pete’s sake. Don’t vote for Hamrick because her signs are prettier or for such and such because he’s cuter. Get the facts and make your own decisions.
Now, enough lecturing and on to the lighter side of politics, check out the Pearls Before Swine strips that have been labeled Rat for President that have been running for the past week. They started last Friday and knowing Pastis, they’ll run through Tuesday or Wednesday. Pearls is such a great strip.
The bottom poster is good, but the top one is typical liberal crap. If Gore had won, the poster would read: “…since then, our country has been attacked six times, President Gore has convened 12 focus groups to better understand the misunderstandings between us and the Middle East, and taxes have been increased to make up for the lack of government income in the crumbling economy for expanded social programs.”
The story was saying that the artists were encouraged to be non partisan with their posters, but as you can clearly see they didn’t all listen.
